Shizuko Hashimoto has been a partner at Immigrant Law Group LLC since 2022 and currently serves as the Treasurer for the 2024-2025 period on the AILA Oregon Executive Committee. Prior to her partnership, Shizuko worked as a legal fellow at the Innovation Law Lab, focusing on innovative legal strategies for immigrant advocacy. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 2016 as a recipient of the prestigious William H. Gates Public Interest Law Scholarship.

Shizuko’s practice spans a wide range of immigration services, with a strong emphasis on family-based immigration, where she helps reunite families and secure their legal status in the U.S.

A first-generation American, Shizuko is deeply passionate about serving immigrant communities and families. Before law school, she was an active community organizer in immigrants’ rights, Central American solidarity, and anti-war movements in Portland.

She speaks English and Spanish.
